Responsible Gaming

One of the most serious problems arising from excessive participation in gambling games is addiction. Addiction negatively affects, not only the players, but also their families and their social environment. Some of the consequences can be depression, remorse and guilt, domestic problems, indebtedness and, in extreme cases, suicide attempt and participation in criminal acts.

Responsible Gaming is the group of measures taken to limit the adverse effects of excessive exposure to gambling and responsible and informed decisions from the player's side.

Responsible Gaming is all about actions and activities aimed to protect both the players and the general public, including children and vulnerable groups of the population, from the possibility of general damage and all the adverse consequences arising from excessive involvement in gambling.

Responsible Gaming is therefore the result of engagement and effort of the players, the society, the gambling industry and the authorities to ensure a legitimate and credible conduct gaming environment.

Greek legislation enforces Responsible Gambling rules, involving providers, players, banks, store owners, Internet service providers (Internet Service Providers), advertisers and everyone in the gaming process and introduces strict administrative and criminal penalties for violating these rules.
